Running

11 miles. First 9.5 on target, then hit mostly uphill for last mile and a half. Tired legs couldn't keep pace.

Tired and quads sore from Sunday. 6 miles on target, but still slowing down too much on the hills. One mile cool down.

5 min @ 7:41, 2 min @ 8:00. Repeat x 4. Hard to keep it interesting on the treadmill. 5k today in 24:04. Wonder what it will be in Sat. on the roads with hills, wind and cold to contend with.

Hilly course so wasn't expecting much. Local race so usually do ok in age group. As I walked up to the start I saw the entire group of local women who keep inviting me to run with them. We are all about the same age 45-55. I haven't run with then because I am intimidated that they are all faster than me. They win everything local and do fairly well in regional events. All eight of them beat me today. They took 8 out of the top 11 female spots in the race and 2 of the top 3. I was 12th, couldn't even catch the slowest of the group. Still, kind of impressive for us older gals.
